Cori Solomon is an award-winning freelance writer and photographer based in Los Angeles, California. She focuses on travel, art, food, wine, and pets and often highlights the story behind the restaurant, chef, winery, winemaker, or artist. Since Cori often travels with her Salukis, one of the oldest breeds of dogs, she has a keen eye for pet-friendly stories.
Cori is currently a preferred writer with Wander With Wander, where you will find a large portion of her travel and wine articles. She also contributes to The Alcohol Professor, an online outlet that features articles on wine, spirits, and more; The Olive Oil Professor, an outlet specializing in Olive Oil; SLO Visitors Guide, emphasizing everything in San Luis Obispo County; and TravelWorld International, highlighting travel.
Her blog, The Written Palette, features eclectic articles about her experiences traveling, dining, discovering new wines, wineries, wine regions, and topics including art and pets.
Cori's background in real estate and art influences her writing, whether it is the architectural splendor of a building, a historical-artistic rendering, or the artistry of a winemaker or chef.
In the past Cori has contributed to Big Blend Magazine, focusing on lifestyle and travel; FWT Magazine, spotlighting food, wine and travel; and Rovology, sharing the best a city has to offer.
Wine is central to Cori, who founded the 50-member LA Wine Writers. Cori earned her WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits, the NASA American Wine Specialist Certification, and a NASA Spanish Wine Specialist Certification.
Cori also knows how to engage radio audiences, having been featured on the SoCal Restaurant Show and Big Blend Magazine's radio show.
In 2019, Cori became the Membership Chair of IFWTWA and, the following year, joined the IFWTWA Board as a Director. In addition, Cori co-hosts IFWTWA webinars, which showcase wine regions, travel destinations, professional development, and other topics. Cori has been President of IFWTWA since 2023.
