The African Travel & Tourism Association (Atta) and Johannesburg-based organisers, On Show Solutions have combined forces to bring a new African roadshow to the Nordics. The Africa Showcase will be a reflection of the diverse range of tourism products that Africa has to offer the Nordic travel trade, featuring representatives from hotels, safari lodges and tourist boards. The Africa Showcase will be held in February in Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm.
The Africa Showcase is designed for travel specialists who book holidays to Africa, to discover new hotels and safari products and learn the latest trends to increase sales. The show is designed to be educational and entertaining, with attendees being immersed in the food, culture and experiences that they will be selling. The trade evenings provide travel sellers with an opportunity for one-on-one meetings with the finest products from Southern and East Africa, incorporating offers from 17 African countries.
Official airline partners for the roadshow are Kenya Airways and South African Airways. 'We are proud to support this initiative in the market and welcome the Africa Showcase and the quality products on show,' says Patrick Menzies of South African Airways. SAA has sponsored an international SAA flight at each event for the lucky recipient of an African holiday.
An integral component of the organising team is Atta's Nordic Representative, Eva Stenmarck from ESTM. Stenmarck is a well-known player in the leisure travel industry with over 17 years experience dealing with Africa.
